Animal Rescue Shelters

Animal Rescue Shelters are a great place to search when you are looking for a pet. I have had dogs and cats from the local Humane Society and know that they work hard to ensure that they adopt out healthy pets.

It is really quite affordable to get a great pet from a shelter so it is well worth considering a visit to your local SPCA and Humane Society

Many rescue groups go even further than the Humane Society. They take a lot of time evaluating the personality of each pet and then the potential adopting family to ensure a great match and successful adoption. Like the SPCA, rescue groups do the basic veterinary care. Many also work on training of the pet due to the environment they are in.
